Export sectors

Brussels is an export hub! Besides traditional sectors, such as transport, construction and food, other export sectors include design, fashion, architecture, IT, graphic arts and publishing, audiovisual and multimedia, life sciences, environmental technologies, legal and financial services, various types of consultancy, tourism, congresses and trade fairs.

Please note that the services sector now represents nearly half of the total export from the Brussels Capital Region, and that a third of the services exported from Belgium are in fact exported from Brussels.
